Mr. Schmoyer has 35 years experience in the Alaska petroleum industry, including 32 years with BP Exploration (Alaska). He worked in the BP Wells Group at Prudhoe Bay for 20 years and in the BP Anchorage office for 12 years. He has extensive experience in well problem analysis and remediation and a strong background in the Prudhoe Bay Field.

1998 – 2010 ANCHORAGE PRODUCTION ENGINEER FOR BP
- Worked as Lead PE in Prudhoe Bay Gravity Drainage Team until 2007 then as Lead PE in the Waterflood Team. Had primary oversight responsibility for 80+ wells. Had QA/QC oversight for the Team wellwork and Rig Workover programs. Served as mentor and technical coach.
1979 – 1998 NORTH SLOPE PRODUCTION ENGINEER FOR BP
- Worked as a field engineer for the first two years. Responsible for on-sight supervision of all aspects of wellwork including OH Logs, perforating for field start-up and stimulations. Moved into a lead position. Was responsible for organizing, scheduling and trouble shooting EL, CTU and Stim operations for BP WOA.
1976 – 1979 ENGINEERING TECH WITH MARATHON OIL COMPANY
- Based in Anchorage. Worked on Cook Inlet McArthur River Field and Trading Bay production facility. Tracked and reported production data. Generated wellwork programs then went to the field to supervise wellwork operations.
1975 – 1976 ROUSTABOUT/ROUGHNECK WITH PARKER DRILLING COMPANY
- Worked on ARCO Spark and Marathon Dolly Varden platforms in Cook Inlet
