Alaska's Oil & Gas Consulting Company

Allen Heinrich – Explorationist

Al Heinrich has worked in petroleum exploration since 1966. His first assignment was with Amoco, based in New Orleans, where he worked the offshore Gulf of Mexico, a province he returned to briefly with Enserch Exploration in 1988. During the intervening years, he worked for several other companies and explored in most basins of the U.S. Rocky Mountains, plus the Rocky Mountain Thrust Belt, Nevada and Arctic Alaska. In addition to pure geological exploration, he spent several pioneering years in geologic computing, helping develop and implement exploration database and mapping applications. He continues to develop and utilize these skills. Beginning in 1988, he began developing prospects and consulting, d.b.a. Petrolific Exploration. Consulting projects have ranged from Prospect development in Frontier areas, to coal bed methane, and examination of horizontal drilling and other new E&P technologies. He has examined the U. S. Pacific Northwest, Crazy Mountains Basin, Montana, Northern Caribbean and Haiti, Polish Baltic, and other areas for his own Frontier area prospects. He was recently involved in a data base project as part of the National Coal Resource Assessment, and he wrote several summary reports on basin centered gas potential in four frontier area Western U.S. and Alaska basins for the U. S. Geological Survey. In addition to exploration endeavors, he continues to informally represent a very successful PC based Log Analysis program in the Denver area. Al is a team player, who has several times put together and managed successful exploration teams. He has an easy ability to work with and motivate people, and to insure the successful completion of projects of all sizes.
