42 years industry experience. 20 years with BP Exploration (Alaska) at Prudhoe Bay and Anchorage. 22 years with Schlumberger; 9 years in Alaska and 13 years in various oil producing States. Experience covers all aspects supervising acidizing, coiled tubing operations, squeezing, hydraulic fracturing, workovers, cased hole and open hole logging and perforating. Managed staff of approximately 20 field production engineers and technicians. Ended career with Schlumberger as manager of the Prudhoe Bay District

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1995-1998 – ALLIANCE SUPERVISOR AT PRUDHOE BAY FOR BP EXPLORATION (ALASKA).

  • Duties were essentially the same as the description of the Production Engineering Supervisor

1993-1995 – PART-TIME FOR BP EXPLORATION (ALASKA) IN ANCHORAGE

  • Duties were various engineering studies which included Subsurface Safety Valves and ESP feasibility study for usage in thePrudhoe Bay Field.

1980 – 1993 – PRODUCTION ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR. BP EXPLORATION (ALASKA) INC. PRUDHOE BAY

  • Duties are the supervision of a staff of 20 production engineers and technicians. These employees and contractors are directly responsible for supervising all downhole activities in the Western Operation Area of Prudhoe Bay. These jobs encompass open hole logging, perforating, production logging, well testing, transient pressure survey, all types of stimulation including hydraulic fracturing. Also included in these operations are coil tubing stimulation, drilling, fishing, and well bore clean outs. Currently two positions deals with the optimizations and trouble shooting of 130 gas lifted wells. This group also supervises five slickline units on contract full times. Duties encompass sub-surface safety valve work, gas lift operation, pressure surveying, Kinley calipers, and wire line work associated with rig completion. Responsible for preparing and monitoring the O & M budget which has varied from $35MM to $70MM annual. All of the above responsibilities were shared with an alternate. Week on and week off schedule.

1978-1980 – FIELD PETROLEUM ENGINEER. BP EXPLORATION. PRUDHOE BAY

  • Duties involved various field responsibilities as describe above. 1956-1978 Schlumberger Well Services Corporation. Worked in various Rocky Mountain locations, California, and Alaska. Duties included open and cased hole logging and perforating. Staff Engineer in charge of a computer center. Sales Engineer, Staff Engineer in charge of Production. Logging, Field Crew Manager in the Cook Inlet and Prudhoe Bay. District Manager at Prudhoe Bay. I was involved with the original start up of Schlumberger’s permanent service center at Prudhoe Bay which commenced January 1, 1974. Participated in providing services for BP and Arco during the pipeline delay years between 1971 and 1974 and the ensuring start up years of 1974 through 1977 in Prudhoe Bay.
