Thomas R. Simons – Consulting Geologist

Mr. Simons has approximately 35 years of experience in the energy industry with primary focus on wellsite geology operations. Tom has been involved in oil and gas exploration in many basins around the Northern U.S. Rockies: Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. Tom has extensive experience geo-steering horizontal wells for over fifteen years on the North Slope of Alaska: Kuparuk, Milne Pt., Greater Prudhoe Bay Unit, Niakuk and east of Badami; twelve years almost exclusively on coiled tubing units.

8/2007 to Present – CONSULTANT, PETROTECHNICAL RESOURCES OF ALASKA

  • Wellsite Geologist responsible for geo-steering horizontal wells in Greater Prudhoe Bay Unit, Kuparuk and Milne Pt. (BP), primarily on coil-tubing operations. In addition, providing cuttings descriptions, petrophysical picks, wireline and MWD logging supervision, and interaction with onsite drilling staff and Anchorage-based Asset personnel.

2/2007 to 8/2007 – CONSULTANT, PETROTECHNICAL RESOURCES OF ALASKA

  • Operations Geologist East Waterflood Group, BPXA, Anchorage, AK. Responsible for monitoring rotary and coil-tubing drilling operations on the North Slope.

2/2000 to 2/2007 – CONSULTANT, PETROTECHNICAL RESOURCES OF ALASKA
